This site has had a cosmetic visual makeover, and a substantial amount of new content added. See the Scope and Purpose section below.

Not all the pages have been completed at this stage. You can always discover what new content has been added by viewing this page, which will be updated on each site revision.

Pages which are functioning and have been converted to the new format are:

• The home page and this page
• The professional CV, Skill Set, Web development and downloadable utilities pages
• The academic page.
• The link manager page (although all colours have not yet been converted)
• The e-mail page (available from home page).
• The log in, log out and registration pages (also available from home page).

Pages which are still in the old (occasionally rather messy) state are:

• Music/Chamber music in Tuscany
• Professional/utilities

Pages which are currently blank are:

• Music/Other activities
• Remaining Professional pages
• Personal page

  Scope and Purpose  

From a professional point of view, the rationale behind the revised site is both as an exercise in Web development techniques, a reference site for completed projects or work in progress, and as a means of sharing insights into various techniques. Please feel free to e-mail me with any comments.

Specific enhancements include an expanded professional section, with details of current projects, notes of techniques used, and general background information. I am also expanding the range of utility software which is free for download and use. Finally lecture notes on Networking and Programming Languages will be included. They are slightly out of date, but did make it into the 21st century!

Information on my Chamber Music Workshop in Tuscany is also being brought up to date, and an archive of notes and pictures.
